Wheat Mill seeks a Head Miller to obtain good output, extraction and flour quality by adjustments and control of the milling plant. The target is to obtain optimum milling performance.
Qualifications:
· GMF Module 4 and Trade Test
· Wheat grading and fumigation will be an added advantage
· HACCP will be an added advantage
Experience:
· 5 Years’ experience after Trade test
· Be familiar with PLC operated plant
· Have worked at least in a 20 ton per hour Mill
Responsibilities:
· Extraction and milling gain (Screens room set-up)
· Quality consistency
· Millers Maintenance & preparation
· Overall Plant Efficiency
· Safe working practices
· Housekeeping
· Ensure accurate Gristing
· Standard operating procedures
· Invocom™ facilitation and coaching
· Ensure manufacturing according FSSC 22000 standards
Competencies (knowledge, skills and attributes):
· Ability to function in a team
· Good communication skills (verbal and written)
· Ability to work under pressure
· Be self-motivated
· Ability to work under minimal supervision
Other Requirements:
· Pressurised environment
· 5-day position
· Stand in for millers when going on annual leave or scheduled training
· Required to work Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays and 24/7 standby
