The National Institute of Communicable Diseases reported 2,273 new COVID-19 cases.
It also reported 25 more COVID-19 related deaths, taking the death toll to 89,822.
Gauteng reported most of the new infections with 1,909 new cases, followed by the Western Cape with 119.
