Julius Malema envisions a South Africa where ANC loses power after 2024 elections

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema said the exclusion of his party from opposition coalitions has forced it to work with the African National Congress (ANC).

Speaking at the party’s diplomatic breakfast in Pretoria on Friday, Malema said his ideal government after the 2024 general elections would be a coalition of all opposition parties to remove the ANC.

The breakfast was attended by several ambassadors based in South Africa.

During his speech at the breakfast, Malema described the ANC as a corrupt organization that has been in power for way too long.

The EFF and ANC are co-governing two metros in Gauteng and in similar relationships in many other municipalities across the country.

However, Malema said the EFF doesn’t want to form a coalition government with the ANC after next year’s general elections.

“But the problem is that you have opposition parties that say we should come together to the exclusion of the EFF and there is no reason why.”

Malema also described the Democratic Alliance as a white supremacist party however, he said the EFF is willing to work with parties they have ideological differences with for the good of the country.
