Gauteng: At 12h36 Friday afternoon, Netcare 911 responded to a drowning at a residence in Blairgowrie, Johannesburg. Reports indicate that a 16-month-old female was found unresponsive in the swimming pool.
When medics arrived on the scene they found the father doing CPR. A full advanced life support resuscitation was immediately initiated by Netcare 911 emergency care practitioners, who achieved return of spontaneous circulation.
Once stabilised, the patient was rapidly transported to the hospital for further care.
