Zondo Commission applies for an extension until end of April

South Africans might have to wait a bit longer for the third instalment of the State Capture Commission’s report. Justice Raymond Zondo has asked the Gauteng High Court for a two-month extension of its term.
Zondo admitted that his team will need more time to study documents and complete its work.
Zondo also had to take some time off after the recent Chief Justice interviews. Certain parts of the report will however still be on President’s desk by the end of this month.
Should the court grant the extension, the balance of the report will be delivered at the end of March and April respectively. The urgent application will be heard next week.
