Zodwa Wabantu on her pre-wedding jitters: I’m so scared

Local entertainer Zodwa Wabantu is having serious pre-wedding jitters about her upcoming ceremony with her fiancé Ntobeko Linda. Speaking to DRUM, the 33-year-old said she feels like there might not even be a wedding. I think there might not be a wedding, I’m so scared. I haven’t spoken to Ntobeko about this yet. I haven’t even picked my bridesmaids yet.

The Gqom dancer has been relatively quiet about wedding preparations with her fiancé Ntobeko. This is also not the first time she has expressed her fears about getting married. In June Zodwa announced that the wedding is off but two weeks later she told her fans that it was back on.

In a recent interview with Move! Zodwa explained her fears about marrying Ntobeko also involved finances. Ntobeko currently works at a bank and is not as financially secure as her. I am paying for everything and I think we needed our previous break to think things through. I know he does not like the celebrity life but he is just calm and knows how to put a smile on my face.

Zodwa also shared a word of advice to ladies who are thinking of tying the knot. “Make sure you are doing it for the right reason. Ask yourself if you are indeed in love with that person and you’re sure about spending the rest of your life with them”. Although her wedding plans may be on halt right now, Zodwa’s career seems to be booming. She revealed that she will be acting in an upcoming movie.

“I have recently signed a contract with a production company, and I will be shooting a movie in Cape Town soon.” She revealed. Zodwa has previously appeared in local series Uzalo and has expressed that she would love to feature on the popular Mzansi Magic series, The Queen.
