Zim celebrities who attended the NAMA Awards in Pics. he 19th Edition of National Arts Merit Awards colourful event is one of the few shows or ceremonies that meet the demands of people and had the rights awards awarded to the right people.
Namely, the ZIMA Awards and the Star FM Awards had left so many people enraged and not believing in handing artists awards anymore. But The NAMA lived up to the expectation and they did not disappoint at all. As of late many award ceremonies were disappointing patriots because of the criteria used to awards artists their awards.
Ishan took home two awards in the Outstanding Newcomer and Outstanding Song categories. The Outstanding Female Musician went to Tamy Moyo while Willis Wataffi and Flying Bantu won the Outstanding Album and Outstanding Music Video respectively.
Rapper Ti Gonzi triumphed in the Outstanding Male Musician category against dancehall chanter Winky D and Mambo Dhuterere. Veteran singer Stella Chiweshe was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement award while Winky D won the People’s Choice Award. Other winners in different categories include writer Petina Gappah, Selemani Mpochi and comedian Long John.
