Parliament fire suspect, Zandile Mafe officially charged

Parliament arson-accused Zandile Mafe has officially been charged.

The 49-year-old faces housebreaking, arson, and terrorism charges.

He was arrested for the devastating fire at the National Assembly chamber in January this year.

He’s had a number of unsuccessful bail applications.

A pre-trial date has been set for 12 August at the Western Cape High Court.
