The eThekwini Mayor Zandile Gumede has been released on R50 000.
Gumede appeared in the Regional Commercial Crimes Court in Durban this Tuesday morning.
She faces corruption-related charges, including fraud and money laundering.
BREAKING: #ZandileGumede and her two co-accused have been granted bail of R50-thousand each. They will appear in court again in August.

This comes after a number of arrests earlier this month of two eThekweni Municipality managers, and a service provider, who were arrested in connection with the awarding of a rand waste tender to the value of R208-million.
Gumede is expected back at court in August.
