You think Boity and Minnie rocked at #SunMet? Wait till you see Moozlie. She made headlines sometime last week after her ad for an accident awareness campaign went out of hand. Well-known TV presenter Nomuzi Mabena, better known as Moozlie, shocked South Africans last week by faking an accident.
It later emerged that the footage of her promoting her label while driving, in what appeared to be on a live ‘selfie’ feed interrupted by an accident where viewers next saw shattered glass, was actually a hoax, created as part of the #DriveDry campaign sponsored by Volkswagen. But she has since cleared the air about that incident and she was among the many Mzansi celebrities who were present at the #SunMet2019 event.
The prestigious event took place in Cape Town and was attended by some of the country’s favourite celebrities, including Minnie Dlamini, Linda Mtoba and Boity. You’ve probably seen all the looks from Saturday’s Sun Met.
While everyone had their interesting interpretations of this year’s theme –African Luxury: Precious Metals – we couldn’t help but fall in love with Nomuzi Mabena’s gold Ryan Keyes mini dress, giving us the re-imagination of the flapper dress we didn’t know we needed.
The starlet took even further with the gold eyelids, metallic stilettos and a Maison Goyard clutch. Come through, Moozlie!
