Gauteng: At 10H40 Netcare 911 responded to a shooting on the Woodmead Road bridge over the M1 in Woodmead Johannesburg.
When Netcare 911 arrived on scene, traffic was severely back up with multiple cars that had stopped in the road where the shooting had taken place.
On assessment, medics found that one person, an adult male had sustained fatal injuries, two other people had sustained serious injuries and another person had sustained minor injuries.
The seriously injured patients were treated on scene and were stabilised by advanced life support paramedics.
The most seriously injured patient was flown by Netcare 911 helicopter to hospital for further care.
Circumstances leading up to the event are not known.
