Winchester Mansion took the spoils at the 2023 Durban July race. Kabelo Matsunyane rode the four-year-old to victory, a win which will also please trainer Brandon Crawford. Another local horse, See It Again, finished second followed by Bless My Stars.
It was a first July victory for all the connections, but they had to survive a race review and were mighty relieved when the stipendiary stewards decided no further action was needed.
