What does Rachel Kolisi actually do? Rachel found herself trending (yet again) after she called out a woman for flirting with her husband (yet again) this week and let’s just say that social media users were not at all sympathetic.

Rachel Kolisi might be done with black Twitter but black Twitter is not done with Rachel Kolisi. The fitness enthusiast and wife of Siya Kolisi has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons this week and you would have thought that her inclusion on a high profile panel might stem the tide of negativity but alas, it’s done the exact opposite.

In a bit to distance herself from the latest “flirting” saga involving her husband, Rachel was named on the panel for an upcoming Round Table Discussion on Cape Town with some pretty phenomenal female professionals. Take a look at the incredible panel below

Some of Mzansi’s biggest powerhouses were listed on the panel including leaders in research, finance, software and more. Rachel, however, was listed as an “influencer” and people (mostly members of Black Twitter), could not help but question how she earned this status.

It will be interesting to see how Rachel is received at the upcoming Round Table discussion and we’re particularly keen to see the topics on which she will touch as she discusses how to channel your inner “powerhouse”.

In fairness to those questioning her “influencer” status; Rachel has a strong enough social media following to back up the tag. Before she deleted her
Instagram account this week (because of *cough* that incident) she had over 48,000 followers on the social media platform.

Regardless, hopefully, this Round Table discussion will be an opportunity for Rachel to remind people of her core values. While most people associate Rachel Kolisi with her social media outbursts, it’s worth remembering that she believes in the power of love and forgiveness. As she once told Parents24:

“It’s important to remember that our time on this earth is limited, and we don’t know when it ends for us. So keep forgiving and loving.”
