What DJ Zinhle wants for Mother’s Day
It’s Mother’s Day on Sunday and we find out from DJ Zinhle what her plans are. Move! caught up with the mom of one who took the crowd by storm with her set at the Huawei Joburg Day in the Park at Johannesburg Botanical Garden in Emmarentia.
She shares her experience playing for a younger audience and reveals her Mother’s Day plans.
MOTHER’S DAY
The family-oriented DJ said, “I don’t know what Kiernan [Forbes also known as AKA] and Kairo have planned. They better come up with a chopper or something,” she teased. “Seriously, there is nothing specific I’d like to do, just want to spend time with my family because that’s the most important thing to me.”
THE YOUNG ONES
As part of her set, at Huawei Joburg Day, Zinhle played her 2012 single My Name Is and got a good response from the mostly teen crowd. “I was so surprised when they knew the lyrics because the song was released so long ago. It feels good,” the DJ says.
