Tsakane residents blame corruption for water woes

While water has been restored to parts of Tsakane on Gauteng’s East Rand, the community believes the water crisis is an engineered problem.

Community leaders want a detailed report from the government on what led to the closure of taps which forced residents to drink water smelling of sewage.

The area had no water for over six weeks now.

Meanwhile, some residents are waiting for water to be restored to higher-lying areas.
