Amathole wage talks disrupt Eastern Cape water supply

Amathole residents have been struggling without water for weeks.
It’s all due to protracted wage talks between the municipality and staff.
Municipal workers union IMATU says the wage talks should have been resolved a long time ago.
It says workers have not had any increases for three years.
Luxolo Nqala, Raymond Mhlaba Local Municipality councillor, says they have been able to put in measures with the support of various NGOs and institutions.
