Watch: Bullets fly as violent daylight robbery sparks chaos

Chilling dashcam footage has emerged fromBedfordview this week, after a security escort was ambushed by an armed gang when leaving the R24, just east of Johannesburg.

We’ve been told that the driver behind the wheel – following a delivery truck in front – suffered a gunshot wound to the face in the ensuing chaos. However, it has been revealed that the injuries are not life-threatening and the escort is set to make a full recovery.

Things quite literally take a turn for the worse when the two working vehicles pull-off onto Concorde Road. They are pushed to the side of the road by two cars, including the white Ford which carried the shooters. An exchange of gunfire takes place, as the security escort manages to shoot through the window on the Ford.

However, he ends up getting as good as he gives. The guard’s window is also shattered by a hail of gunfire, with one bullet striking him in the face. You can watch the video here:

Despite receiving ICU treatment for his injuries, the escort is said to be in a “stable condition”. But this whole jarring incident goes to show that criminals are not resting during this lockdown, with some lawbreakers willing to recklessly endanger lives no matter what the current climate is.
