Our client has a position for a Warehouse Operations Supervisor

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Plan and organise daily/ weekly warehouse activity
Supervision/management of logistics functuins (picking & packing of orders, local deliveries, national deliveries, collections)
Ensure prompt and accurate delivery of products meeting customer expectations and requirements
Ensure that operating expenses are kept at a minimum
Coach, mentor, develop and train.
Ensure compliance with warehouse policies and regulations
Integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting and shipping.
Review and maintain procedures and practices as required
Ensure people are appropriately trained in accordance with standard Operating Procedures
Act as the primary point of contract for the Warehouse
Stock Management: Manage finished stock, packaging and inventory in warehouse Coordinate container movement by site/ liaise with freight companies as required.
Supervise, receive, batch check and store received goods
Monitor consumable stock and raise purchase orders to replenish to agreed level
Manage stock take processes
Training, recruitment and human resource management
Effectively supervise, manage and lead the warehouse team

CRITERIA:
Senior Certificate
6 plus years expertise in warehouse supervision and management procedures and best practice
Ability to implement process improvement initiatives
Strong knowledge of warehousing and Warehouse management- 8 to 10 years relevant experience -4 plus of which at management level
Approachable and accountable with strong leadership skills and ability to manage staff
Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills
Relevant qualification
Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practice
Ability to implement process improvement initiatives
Hands-on experience with warehouse management
