WHO YOU ARE

As the Warehouse Picker and Packer, you are responsible for inspecting merchandise to ensure you have the right items, are not damaged, and nothing is missing per the order. You must be able to keep accurate inventory records. You will pack items, scan barcodes, and move packages to the correct location for shipping.

Individuals in this role should be physically fit, as long-standing, walking, and lifting hours may be required. Organization skills and the ability to work quickly and safely are essential for success.

Minimum Requirements

SKILL REQUIREMENTS/PERSONAL COMPETENCIES

• Excellent analytical skills
• Excellent MS Excel proficiency
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills
• Pays close attention to detail
• Possesses physical strength necessary to lift boxes and other heavy items on a regular basis
• Can use computer inventory software
• Exhibits ability to read and interpret inventory reports, sales reports, and packing slips
• Demonstrates strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Works well with a team
• Manages time efficiently
• Microsoft Software; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Database related programs

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Matric
• Minimum of 2 years of inventory control experience

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collecting order notes to fulfill deliveries
• Picking out ordered items from storage shelves or rooms using barcodes, serial numbers, etc.
• Securely shrink-wrapping items before placing them in envelopes or boxes
• Operating handling equipment according to industrial safety regulations
• Loading delivery vehicles
• Updating stock inventory after each item is retrieved
• Managing stock control, including item replenishment and storage
• Performing general warehouse duties as necessary. Apply Now
