The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the proper receiving, warehousing and distribution of company products while ensuring compliance to company requirements in terms of Safety, Hygiene, Quality and Logistics.
Key Performance Areas:
Ensure effective utilization of warehouse areas and observes proper loading, unloading, stocking and safekeeping of items to maintain the quality of finished goods in order to prevent product damage and avoid occurrence of pilferage, accidents and occupational hazards
Ensure compliance with SHEQ and company standards on local warehousing, material handling and shipping requirements by studying existing and new regulations; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management of needed actions.
Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
Maintains physical condition of warehouse and equipment by planning maintenance, inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
Effectively monitors flow of goods and implements First In First Out (FIFO) and First Expired First Out (FEFO) method in the dispatching of finished goods
Coordinates with the Logistics partner with regards to the transfer and dispatch of finished goods.
Control overall costs of Courier
Maintains the highest standards of customer service by immediately attending and resolving customer issues on product preparation before dispatch
Conducts regular cycle counts as per established schedules and guidelines. Evaluates and analyzes inventory variance. Implements countermeasures based on the result of inventory variance analysis.
Develops and effectively implement warehouse and inventory monitoring systems and procedures
Maintains complete distribution plan, inventory control,
warehouse records and manuals
Develops and implements business process initiatives to optimize departmental operations in accordance with overall business objectives.
Provides clear directions and general guidance to the department in the formulation of basic policies and procedures and ensure that these are translated to action.
Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
Produce reports and statistics regularly as directed
Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided

Candidate Requirements
Education, Professional Qualifications and Training Experience Required:
Matric
Formal qualification in logistics/ warehousing/ supply chain is Preferred
Proven practical knowledge of implementation of SHEQ standards is Preferred
Minimum 10 years’ experience in Warehouse Management
Working knowledge and experience with Warehouse Management Systems is Essential
Valid Code 8 Drivers License Code 8
