Duties and responsibilities:
Prepare tables for service as per the restaurant standard
Greet and escort customers to their tables
Present the menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g., about portions, ingredients, or
potential food allergies)
Inform customers about the day’s specials.
Offer menu recommendations upon request.
Take accurate food and drinks orders,
Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff.
Serve food and drinks.
Up-sell additional products when appropriate.
Deliver checks and collect bill payments.
Clearing and cleaning of tables.
Restock of items in the front of house.
Provide excellent customer service to guests.
Following health code standards with regards to the handling of food.
Making and serving of variety of coffees to a high standard
Perform other duties as required by Housing and Residence Affairs.
Available to work on weekends and after hours if required.
Inherent requirements:
Grade 12
A minimum of one (1) year experience as a waiter
Recommendations:
Knowledge of Point-of-Sale System
Experience as a Barista.

Salary:
The annual remuneration package, including benefits is R 97 215.23 – R 170 372.31 per annum, depending on the budget available for the position, relevant work experience and qualifications.
