PSA to protest over wage hikes

A protest by public servants is looming. The Public Servants Association says it will go to the streets over the government’s refusal to give workers a 7 percent pay hike.

The union made the comment during its Workers’ Day celebration in Durban.

“We’ll be declaring a dispute so that we can go on the street because the government has refused to pay workers as per Resolution 1 of 2018,” said Mlungisi Ndlovu, PSA Provincial Manager.

“We are tired of a government that is not caring, we’re tired of a government that is bullying us.

“Workers must be paid accordingly.”
