Mohale reacts to AKA’s viral videos
Mohale Motaung has reacted to AKA and his late fiancee Nellie Tembe‘s disturbing videos.
A local publication recently leaked images showing AKA breaking down a wooden door with his hands while he was trying to look for Nellie at his home in Bryston, on 13 March. The images have raised eyebrows on whether their relationship was toxic.
Another video showing Nellie screaming on the floor while some men who were with them are trying to calm her down has gone viral. Nellie is heard saying “You guys don’t know what he’s been doing to me.”
In another video AKA films the aftermaths of what transpired in the house where a lot of items were smashed. The rapper is heard saying Nellie was allegedly under the influence and she tried to jump off the balcony.
Mohale reacted to the saga and spoke about how abusers react “Abusers and making it look like you are the crazy one when they know exactly what they do to you behind closed doors.”

AKA released a statement detailing how tumultuous at times their relationship was and slammed those who are using the videos to set a negative narrative about him.
“I am a passionate and emotional person. What I will not do and stand for is watching people attempt to disparage my name and, importantly, Anele’s to suit a narrative we both never signed up for,”
“As numb as I was at Anele’s funeral, I took in every word imparted, the direct ones and all those filled with innuendos. I will not be part of speaking on or exposing our troubles as a couple, to defend myself from one-sided views that are portrayed out of their full context. Every story has two sides and so does every video, image, and message.”
Nellie died in April after she jumped from the 10th floor of the Papercub Hotel in Cape Town. In a eulogy, his father said until she turned 21 years old Nellie would have not considered taking her own life.
“I was neither there when Anele met her fate last Sunday. I neither seek to attack any person, nor cast aspersions, nor create suspicions nor stigmatize any mental condition, however, I cannot allow an unfortunate narrative go unchallenged. A narrative that is maliciously purveyed in some circles that Anele, my daughter, was chronically suicidal or had suicidal tendencies.
“All I can say is that until she turned 21, Anele would not consider taking her own life as a solution. Not a single member of my family, Anele’s family will have ever associated Anele with suicide, it never arose. Living would have never been Anele’s challenge,” he said.

Nellie Tembe jumped to her death from the tenth floor of Pepperclub Hotel in Cape Town, after sharing videos of a happy hour the previous night.
Nellie’s death was initially ruled as a suicide when the news first broke out, however, her father, Moses Tembe vehemently denied that his daughter committed suicide nor did she have any mental health issues. Learn More
