Amanda du-Pont speaks out few days after her viral rape video
In an Instagram post, TV personality Amanda du Pont said she is “completely” overwhelmed with love and support after going public with rape allegations against musician Molemo ‘Jub Jub’ Maarohany.
Amanda accused Jub Jub of rape and attempted murder on Thursday. The shock revelation comes after the Uyajola 9/9 host made lewd comments about Amanda and ex-girlfriend Kelly Khumalo on a recent episode of Podcast and Chill with MacG (Macgyver Mukwevho).
More women have since come forward with allegations of s.e.xual misconduct against the musician.
In a statement issued by the Maarohany family spokesperson, Andile Ngcobo, Jub Jub denies all allegations made against him and said that he would be taking legal action against the women.
Taking to social media to express her gratitude for the outpouring of support, Amanda wrote: “[I’m] broken by all your messages of how many of you have gone through the same thing! This is bigger than me… we’ve started a movement. Thank you!!!!! It’s been so encouraging to see how we are all there for one other. I love you and God bless. [sic]”
