Women and children biggest victims of violence
There’s been a spate of violent crimes against women and children in the Western Cape recently.
It’s alleged that 18 women were s.e.xually assaulted and some raped on Easter Sunday at a church in Khayelitsha.
They were also robbed of their belongings.
Just a week before, in the same area, two teenage girls were allegedly raped, one was murdered and one was s.e.xually assaulted.
Police Minister Bheki Cele and provincial police top brass visited the area.
They have also gone to a house in Kraaifontein where a three-year-old boy was hacked to death, allegedly by a family member.
