Verulam in shock after three bodies found in house
A Verulam mother is alleged to have hanged her two children, before taking her own life. The mother’s body and the bodies of her two young sons were discovered by neighbours.
Police say the neighbours made the gruesome discovery after they heard the two older daughters’ scream upon their return from a nearby shop.
According to Police spokesperson Jay Naicker, “when the children returned to the house they discovered the bodies and screamed for help, which alerted the neighbours.”
Police say the two elder children were feeling unwell and as a precaution, were assessed by medical personnel and taken to hospital.
Police say they are looking at investigating a case of murder.
