At 14H48 Tuesday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a vehicle fire on the R59 in Vaal Park, Sasolburg.
Reports from the scene indicate that a light delivery vehicle had caught alight.
The driver of the bakkie, an adult male managed to escape from a burning vehicle and had not sustained any injuries.
