VBS pre-trial hearing postponed

The pre-trial hearing of the VBS Mutual Bank case has been provisionally postponed to January next year because the defence isn’t ready.

Former ANC Limpopo treasurer Danny Msiza wants his trial to be separated from his co-accused.

Msiza and 13 others face charges relating to the plundering of the bank.

They allegedly looted more than R2-billion between 2015 and 2018.

Popular TV actor Given Stuurman has allegedly threatened to kill the mother of his child and daughter and commit suicide in one of their dramatic domestic violence episodes in Joburg recently.

The actor, who played Kgosi in e.tv’s flagship soapie, Scandal, also threw a cellphone at the woman after hurling a barrage of profanities at her. He also threatened to kill her dad and her uncle or anyone who will try to protect her. Learn More
