Hawks arrest three more people in connection with VBS corruption
The Hawks have arrested three more suspects for corruption linked to the VBS mutual bank saga involving over R148-million.
The suspects include an acting municipal manager, CFO for the Greater Giyani Local Municipality, and a local business person.
The trio will make their first appearance before the Giyani Magistrate’s Court for formal bail application on Wednesday.
The bank was declared insolvent and bankrupt and placed under curatorship in 2018.
