The ever-expressive Vatiswa Ndara sat down with Pearl Thusi on Behind the Story on Thursday night and chatted about surviving as an artist in an industry that’s more glamour on the surface than anything else.
The actress and former radio personality took viewers on a journey from her first acting gig after leaving radio, to the hardships she encountered as an actress being praised for her performances, but not being remunerated accordingly.
It’s been a rough couple of weeks for sis and she’s shaken up the local entertainment industry with her open letter naming and shaming the Fergusons for the contract they offered her for the third season of acclaimed drama series Igazi.
This is how Twitter responded to Vatiswa’s interview, especially her emotion-driven statement, “I don’t think I’ll ever be called again”, addressing being regarded a diva in the industry.
Vatiswa did well by making the Ferguson’s a sacrificial lamb, y’all never respond to issues unless your Faves are involved. #BehindTheStory
