COVID-19: Rollout of new vaccination sites running smoothly

An injection of hope in the fight against COVID-19, with the administration of the jab at 25 new vaccination sites running smoothly.

The province has made the additional locations available as the second phase of the rollout progresses.

South Africa has officially entered the third wave with over 8,000 new infections recorded.

The lion’s share of the new cases are from Gauteng.

The Parliamentary Committee on Health also conducted an oversight visit at the Charlotte Maxeke Hospital.

Committee chairperson Sibongiseni Dhlomo says the new jab locations are key to the fight against COVID-19.
