Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga says she’s happy with the vaccine rollout in the Free State.
She briefed the media earlier on Monday in Botshabelo.
The minister was joined by the Free State MEC for Education, Tate Makgoe, to monitor the province’s vaccination programme.
So far, more than 185,000 basic education teachers and staff have been vaccinated.
The department says the programme will help curb the spread of COVID-19 and normalize schooling in the country.
It’s aiming to vaccinate 582,000 people in the sector by 8 July.
