UPDATE: Load-shedding moves to Stage 4

Eskom will implement Stage 4-load shedding from 2pm on Tuesday. Eskom says Koeberg Unit 1 tripped resulting in it being disconnected from the grid due to a fault on the turbine side. The utility says its teams are investigating the root causes of the fault.
Eskom further said that the loss of approximately 930MW puts further strain on the generation fleet, necessitating an increase in the state of load-shedding.
South Africans are urged to use electricity sparingly. Eskom says electricity demand has risen since January.
