Saftu joins association in University of Pretoria protest action

The South African Federation of Trade Unions has joined the Academic and Professional Staff Association of SA in its fight for better working conditions at the University of Pretoria.

The university’s in-sourced security personnel and food service staff say they will not back down.

The protest started last week after two failed attempts to reach an agreement.

Workers are demanding a 10 percent wage increase, 13th cheque, and housing allowance.
