Blade Nzimande outraged at UFH vice-chancellor’s bodyguard murder

Higher Education Minister, Blade Nzimande, is outraged and has condemned the murder of the bodyguard of the University of Fort Hare’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Sakhele Buhlungu.

Mboneli Vesele was gunned down outside Buhlungu’s home in Dikeni on Friday.

Nzimande says investigations so far indicate that Buhlungu was the target.

But he was not in the car at the time.

Nzimande has described the murder as barbaric, saying it is an attack on the entire Post School Education and Training sector.

He’s appealed for calm as investigations continue.
