President Cyril Ramaphosa has reiterated his call for unity on the African continent.
While delivering his address at the African Integration Day, Ramaphosa reflected on the Covid-19 pandemic and how the continent was on the back foot in terms of vaccine supply.
“The past three years have taught us all valuable lessons about why deepening African integration is perhaps the most urgent task of our time.
“The Covid-19 pandemic, the war in Europe, and the associated health and economic crises have taught us that Africa’s vulnerabilities can only be solved by Africans and their governments,” Ramaphosa said.
He adds unity on the continent can be beneficial for development.
