A private hospital based in East London in the Eastern Cape is seeking to employ a Theatre Unit Manager.

Required Skills
Theatre Management Experience : 2 to 3 years
Theatre Nursing experience : 4 to 5 years
Candidate Requirements
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the theatre complex.

Key work responsibilities

Develop, improve and maintain standards in the Theatre
Ensure cost effective nursing operations
Staff management and training
Management of stock, CSSD, equipment and charging
Management of patient care
Management of nursing budget
Ensure effective stakeholder relationships
Management of complaints
Develop ongoing in-service training
Comply with company polices, procedure, internal controls and standards
Skills requirements:

Diploma in General Nursing or equivalent NQF 7 qualification
Registered with SANC as a Registered Nurse
Diploma in Theatre Technique is essential
Diploma / Certificate in Nursing Management or Nursing Administration is an advantage
5 years Theatre Nursing experience
2 years Nursing Management experience is essential
Private hospital experience is an advantage
