Two taxi bosses gunned down in Eastern Cape

Two taxi bosses have been shot and killed within 24 hours in the Eastern Cape. In the latest incident in Port Elizabeth on Tuesday, a taxi boss was shot through the window of his car as he dropped his child at school.

The day before, a taxi organisation chairperson was found dead with bullet wounds in a township in Mthatha.

Eastern Cape police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu said the victim shot on Tuesday sustained gunshot wounds to his head and neck. Police say the man was definitely targeted. No arrests have been made and a case of murder has been opened.
