Two suspects linked to the murder of women in Mthwalume, KwaZulu-Natal, are expected to appear in court on Monday.
Police Minister Bheki Cele says the suspects were arrested as persons of interest.
The bodies of five women were discovered in Mthwalume over the past four months.
Cele says he is satisfied with the progress of investigations into the gruesome murders.
Residents are calling for increased police visibility in the area.
A mobile police station has been set-up in the meantime.
