Two more reasons to wear the Arsenal shirt with pride #BlackLivesMatter kit unveiled

With “Black Lives Matter” set to replace players’ names on the back of Premier League tops for the rest of the season, Arsenal have unveiled a special shirt that also pays homage to frontline workers.

The league recently announced its support for the Black Lives Matter movement, following the tragic killing of citizen George Floyd in the US.

Players will play without their names on the back of their shirts for the remaining league fixtures, with the Black Lives Matter message to be displayed above their numbers to show the Premier League’s stance on racial injustice.

To thank those working for the United Kingdom National Health Service (NHS) during these times of a global pandemic, Arsenal have now produced a special kit that will also pay tribute to the NHS, and feature another Black Lives Matter logo.

The Gunners will play their first match since March away against Manchester City on Wednesday night, in what is a must-win match for new manager Mikel Arteta.
