At 15H45 Wednesday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on Hesketh Drive in Hayfields Pietermaritzburg.
Reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a light motor vehicle lost control crashing into a concrete block and then a bakkie.
The patients, one adult and a child were assessed on scene by an Advanced life support paramedic and found to both be in a stable condition.
Once treated both patients were transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.
The Pietermaritzburg Accident and Collision unit was on scene and will be investigating.
