Two injured in head-on collision

KwaZulu-Natal: At 09H41 Thursday morning, Netcare 911 responded to a collision on Henry Pennington Road in Westmead Durban.
Reports indicate that a bakkie and car were involved in a head-on collision. On scene were Ethekwini Fire and Rescue, Durban Metropolitan Police, and the SAPS.
Medics assessed two patients who had sustained moderate injuries. A Netcare 911 rescue technician used hydraulic tools to free the driver of the bakkie who was trapped from the waist down.
Once treated, freed and stabilised, both patients were transported to local hospitals for further care.
