Home Affairs dismisses claims Border Guards are turning back Zimbabweans who want to go back home

Home Affairs is dismissing claims Border Guards are turning back Zimbabweans who want to go back home.

The department says guards are doing access control at the Beitbridge Border Post.

It says they are merely directing people to relevant queues.

This is done to ensure they can be documented in line with the Immigration Act but, some are refusing to be documented on their departure.

Home Affairs Minister Aaron Motsoaledi says no one will be allowed to waltz through the border without being documented.
