Tshwane mayor Stevens Mokgalapa faces first no-confidence vote

Tshwane mayor, Stevens Mokgalapa will face his first motion of no-confidence on Thursday. Mokgalapa was elected mayor in February after replacing Solly Msimanga. The ANC caucus will table the motion of no-confidence. The party says the mayor has undermined council resolutions for a month.
Tshwane city manager, Moeketsi Mosola was granted an extension until 31 August but council resolved to appoint chief operations officer James Murphy as his replacement.
