Missing Tshwane journalist’s mom suspects he was kidnapped after house found ransacked

The mother of a Tshwane journalist who has been missing for nearly three months now said she suspects he might have been kidnapped after his house was found ransacked.

Sibusiso Ndlovu went missing on 18 February, the same day as his partner, Zodwa Mdluli.

His house in Kwamhlanga, Mpumalanga, was broken into in the same month.

On Wednesday, Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi visited Ndlovu’s family to reassure them that the investigation remained a priority.

Lenah Shabangu said she was informed that her son, Ndlovu, was last seen leaving Capital Live radio station, where he worked at Denlyn Mall.

She said they last spoke when he was buying her new furniture, but she suspects that the break-in happened on the day he went missing.

“We found his yard in a complete mess. They took his fridge, washing machine, some of the furniture and clothes – the police are surprised.”

She said she can only hope that he is still alive despite being missing for almost three months.
