Tshwane Bus Services remain partially disrupted

Tshwane Bus Services remain partially disrupted with some employees still not back at work.

Earlier this week, workers affiliated with the South African Municipal Workers Union (SAMWU) downed tools and embarked on what the city is calling an illegal strike.

Only 146 out of 160 buses are currently servicing their designated routes with 14 others, not operating at all due to the unavailability of drivers.

City Spokesperson Selby Bokaba has pleaded with commuters to bear with them as they work to resolve the matter.

“The city apologizes profusely to the bus commuters who have been affected by the disruption, we hope to return to full capacity by Monday next week.”
