Triple murder case postponed again

Triple murder accused Eugene Botha’s bail hearing was again postponed.

His next court appearance will be on April 8, following his third appearance at the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.

On February 8, he appeared before the magistrate.

He was charged with three counts of murder charges. The victims were his sister, mother, and father.

He faces additional charges for being in possession of an illegal firearm and ammunition.

On his third appearance in the triple murder case, in contrast to his second appearance, none of his relatives were present when he appeared before the magistrate.

Once the case was remanded, Botha was taken into custody, and the case was rescheduled for April 8.

Initially, the state asked for 12 weeks to extend its investigation.

After the defence rebutted, the court gave the state eight weeks to complete its inquiry.
