Trevor Noah’s The Daily Show survives the chop

Trevor Noah’s The Daily Show survives the chop. Last week, Trevor Noah caused panic among his fanbase when he revealed that his show, The Daily Show might no longer be on television. The comedian begged for our help when he said on Twitter:

“AT&T-DIRECTV is about to drop Comedy Central and up to 22 other channels. If that happens, you won’t be able to watch The Daily Show with me! Call 888-250-5557 and tell AT&T-DIRECTV to keep Comedy Central. Go to (link: http://keepviacom.com) keepviacom.com for more info. #keepviacom”

Fans were in a serious panic when the news first broke, with many wondering how they were going to get their daily Dose of the Daily Show if the channel was to be dropped. The 35-year-year old campaigned alongside a number of other Viacom brands and it looked like the pressure they put on AT&T-DirectTV worked.

Viacom CEO, Bob Bakish confirmed that a deal had been struck:

“I’m very happy to share that we’ve just announced a renewed and expanded Viacom/AT&T-DirecTV partnership that includes continued carriage of Viacom services across AT&T-DirecTV’s platforms and products. As a result, our programming will continue to be available to AT&T-DirecTV subscribers without disruption. ”

Now that we can all resume watching The Daily Show, can we please talk about the important slavery reparations that Trevor Noah has been pushing in the last recent episodes?
