Treasury to brief Parliament on PIC inquiry report

Treasury is expected to brief Parliament’s standing committee on the Public Investment Corporation’s report.

The meeting was scheduled for last week but Finance Minister Tito Mboweni was a no-show. The committee will also be briefed on the Mpati Commission of Inquiry report released in March this year.

Questions have been raised about whether the inquiry has made any difference in issues the PIC is facing.

The PIC’s acting COO, Matshepo More, was suspended last year and is still on full pay.
