Minister Phaahla: Travel restrictions unjustified

Travel restrictions on South Africa are unjustified at this point.

This is according to Health Minister, Joe Phaahla. He was speaking during a briefing on Friday.

Phaahla says the government’s announcement was in the interest of transparency.

This comes after several countries banned travellers from southern Africa over the COVID-19 variant.
